RE: Simon Russell Beale, Fiona Shaw, et al. Set for London's National Theatre in 2010

This story is incorrect: Cate Blanchett is NOT appearing in The White Guard or anything else at the National Theatre, Im afraid!. The White Guard is in a new version by Andrew Upton, who runs the Sydney Theatre Company with his wife Cate Blanchett: that’s the only connection. The actors cast so far in The White Guard are Pip Carter, Paul Higgins, Conleth Hill and Justine Mitchell. visit www.nationaltheatre.org.uk for further information. best wishes, Lucinda Morrison, Head of Press, National Theatre
