Tales from the Book of Longing, conceived, directed and choreographed by Stuart Pimsler with Suzanne Costello, founders and artistic co-directors of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT), will receive its world premiere at the Guthrie Theatre. Inspired by the poetry of Leonard Cohen and the music of Antony and the Johnsons, the production will run October 8-18.

The piece explores the nature of longing and storytelling, and will feature Brian Evans, Cade Holmseth, Kari Mosel, Laura Selle Virtucio, Roxane Wallace, Suzanne Costello and Stuart Pimsler. The creative team will include lighting designer Karin Olson, scenic designer Joe Stanley, costume designer Sonya Berlovitz, and sound designer Chris Cunningham.
