A concert production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies will run October 23-24 at the Prince Music Theater. The show, which will be jointly presented by the Ira Brind School of the Theater Arts and The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, will be directed by Frank Analzone. Owen Robbins will be musical director for the production.
The musical centers on a reunion of performers from the fictional Weismann Follies.
Brind School Musical Theater students will perform the younger roles, while faculty members from the schools are cast in the older roles. The company features Charles Gilbert and Brendan Dalton (Benjamin Stone); Richard Stoppleworth and Greg Nix (Buddy Plummer); Mary Ellen Grant Kennedy and Carrie Bauer (Sally Durant Plummer); and D'Arcy Webb and Michelle Vezilj (Phyllis Stone).
